PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricating oil for addition which exhibits a very low coefficient of friction and excellent high-temp. lubricity, is inexpensive, and exhibits an excellent effect when used as an additive particularly for a motor oil, by dispersing a finely divided spherical silicone resin of a particular diameter in a lubricating oil. CONSTITUTION:A lubricating oil for addition comprising a lubricating oil, such as a motor oil, and, dispersed therein, a finely divided silicone resin having an average particle diameter of 4mum or less. This oil exhibits the lowest coefficient of friction among various lubricating oils for addition prepd. by adding well-known conventional solid lubricating agents exhibits excellent performance, is more inexpensive than a lubricating oil for addition contg. born nitride added thereto, has high-temp. lubricity, and exhibits an excellent effect when added paricularly to a motor oil. |
