PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material which has an excellent preservable property and with which a sharp image is obtainable in a developing process by incorporating a decomposition accelerator of a base precursor and ligand in a free state in addition to a specific base precursor into a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The base precursor expressed by formula I or II and the material selected from the group consisting of metal silver, silver compd., metal copper, and copper compd. as the decomposition accelerator thereof, and the ligand in the free state are incorporated into the photosensitive layer. In formulas I, II, R<1> is a hydrogen atom, etc., R<2> is an alkyl group, etc., B is an org. base, (x) is 1 if B is a monoacidic base and 2 if diacidic base, (y) is 2 if B is a monoacidic base and 1 if diacidic base. The decomposition of the base precursors expressed by formulas I, II at the time of heat development is, therefore, increased and the base is quickly formed. The ligand in the free state captures the silver ion or copper ion liberated from the decomposition accelerator during the preservation period of the photosensitive material. The extremely sharp image is thereby obtd. and the sharp image is maintainable even after the long-period preservation. |
