<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of adsorption in a pressure swing type adsorption method by heating the adsorption agent layer at the raw gas inlet side of an adsorption tower and levelling the temp. distribution of the adsorption layer. CONSTITUTION:For instance, in three tower changeover type oxygen separation apparatus, the raw gas (air) 10 is sent into the lower part of one of the adsorption towers packed with adsorption agent 2 by a pressurizing supply device. The product gas (oxygen) 11 is sent in pressurized state from the top of the adsorption tower through a product line 7 to the outside of the system. In this case, the piping in the layer of the adsorption agent 2 is arranged as shown in Fig. 2 - Fig. 5. By this arrangement, the adsorption capacity is improved because the temp. distribution in the layer of the adsorption agent is levelled. Moreover, as deviated flow of the gas in the adsorption agent 2 is prevented, the adsorption capacity is further improved. Also, the discharge gas (nitrogen) in regeneration is discharged from the lower part of the adsorption tower through a discharge gas line to the outside of the system.</p> |
