PURPOSE:To easily register a telephone number without errors at the time of registering the telephone number by reading the telephone number expressed in a mark sheet system with an optical reading device and registering the telephone number correspondingly to key information. CONSTITUTION:With an input of a specified key 19, the telephone number expressed in a mark sheet system, which is written in a card 22, is optically read out and stored, correspondingly to the key information, in a memory (RAM) 31. Moreover a CPU 29 is provided in order to control respective elements, besides that, to check the information read out by an optical reading device 23 and to display on a liquid crystral display unit 41 if errors are made. Thus since the telephone number can be optically read and the telephone number at the time of one-touch dialing or abbreviated dialing can be registered, operation can be made simple and secure.
