PURPOSE:To improve wet rot resisting property of a muffler by applying Ca(OH)2 powder on the inner surface and inner member of steel plate muffler contacting exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:0.01-0.3g/cm<2> of Ca(OH)2 powder is applied on the inner surface and inner member of a steel plate muffler contacting exhaust gas. Thus, sulfuric acid in condensed dew water can be changed into CaSO4 to prevent the muffler from corrosion.
