PURPOSE:To prevent slack and looseness of a filament from occurring as well as to eliminate a release failure in an after-process, by winding the filament at almost the same interval as the specified one even within the range of a traverse maximum stroke, going beyond the said maximum stroke end, and then shifting to traverse motion. CONSTITUTION:After the specified punch winding takes place on a yarn holding device 14, when a bobbin holder is moved to the left, and simultaneously a regulating guide 10 is moved to the right, forming a transfer tail 16 on a bobbin 6 at the specified pitch, so that the bobbin holder is reached to a stroke end. After the regulating guide 10 is further moved to the right and a filament is wound at the specified pitch B, when a yarn removing guide is put back and the filament is released from the regulating guide 10, the filament is naturally moved toward the traverse center. At this time, the filament is held by a yarn guide during traverse motion, and a package is formed on the bobbin 6. Therefore, slack and looseness in the filament tillit shifts to a traverse guide are prevented from occurring, thus a release failure in an after-process is eliminable.
