PURPOSE:To suppress the torque fluctuation during running downhill, by increasing a fuel cut quantity more as a vehicle speed becomes greater than a target value under constant speed running control. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 9 for constant speed running control is connected to a throttle valve 6 in a suction pipe 4. A fuel control circuit 48 is provided to cut fuel supply when an opening degree of a throttle valve 6 is less than a predetermined value. A control device 30 receives a signal from a vehicle speed sensor 10 or the like. When an actual vehicle speed is greater than a target vehicle speed, and the greater is a deviation between both the vehicle speeds, the greater is controlled a duty ratio of fuel cutting time in the fuel control circuit 48. Accordingly, a torque fluctuation during running downhill may be suppressed, and a vehicle speed may be controlled stably.
