The invention relates to a package of the type comprising a bottom 11 and four lateral side panels 12. According to the invention, two 12A of these side panels 12, opposite to each other, are wooden panels, whilst, being in one piece with at least a part of the bottom 11, the other two, that is to say the side panels 12B, are each part of a corrugated cardboard blank 14 which, along each of its edges, comprises a reinforcement strip and which, by the said edges, is joined to the side panels 12A by staples 16 inserted in such a way that they at least partially straddle the said reinforcement strips.
