PURPOSE:To improve concentricity and end face deviation precision and improve mass productivity by rotating a cylindrical core with rollers rotated in contact with the outer periphery of the cylindrical core to grind its inner periphery space and grinding its end faces with guide plates. CONSTITUTION:The outer periphery of a cylindrical core 101 is held as a reference, and the inner periphery of the cylindrical core 101 is ground by an inside grinding grindstone 107 while the cylindrical core 101 is rotated by rollers 102, 103 kept in contact with its outer periphery. At this time, end faces of the cylindrical core 101 are ground by guide plates 105, 106. Therefore, the cylindrical core 101 is rotated using the center axis of the outer diameter of the cylindrical core 101 as the center axis of rotation. Accordingly, the concentricity between the outer diameter and inner diameter is extremely good, and moreover the end faces are ground using the center axis of the outer diameter as a reference, thus grinding with good end face deviation precision can be performed.
