PURPOSE:To equalize the line width by a simple structure by filling the interval between image forming beam spots by an interpolating beam spot whose phase is shifted. CONSTITUTION:In a recorder forming a beam from a laser light source 1, into a beam spot B on a photosensitive body 5 by image forming optical systems 2, 3 and 4, and recording by a scan on the photosensitive body 5 of this beam spot B, plural beam spots B are formed from the laser light source 1, and this recorder is constituted so as to fill the interval between image forming beam spots B1, B3 by interpolating beam spots B2, B4 whose phase are shifted from image forming beam spots B1, B3 for forming an image to be recorded. By using the interpolating beam spot whose phase is shifted from the image forming beam spot the line width can be equalized by simple constitution.
