PURPOSE:To form a device in small size low decreasing its cost and realizing an anti-roll function, by providing a selector valve which is opened and closed by a supply pressure from the outside relieving, when it is closed, oil in an upper chamber in a cylinder to a bottom chamber by an accumulator formed in a shock absorber main unit. CONSTITUTION:A selector valve 30 and a damping force generating part 40 are provided in a base valve part 11, and the valve functions so as to be closed if an outside supply pressure P is applied. While a cover cap 25 forms an accumulator Q as a housing, and the accumulator Q, when an inflow to its oil chamber Q3 of oil in an upper chamber A in a cylinder is allowed by closing the selector valve 30, compresses a gas chamber Q2 preventing an outflow of oil in the upper chamber A in the cylinder. In this way, an extension side oil lock condition is displayed. Accordingly, a device, which is formed in small size enabling its cost to be low reduced, displays a shock absorber function and an anti-roll function improving comfortableness to ride and driving stability. |
