An inward-flow rotary vacuum drum filter having an endless filter cloth for collecting solid on the drum, and discharging it near a roller spaced from the drum, has associated with it two endless (preferably resilient), belts, which overlie the marginal edges of the cloth over the drum-engaging part of its path to urge the cloth into vacuum-sealing contact with the drum. |
