PURPOSE:To make it to have appropriate coercive force and large magnetic susceptibility while improving temperature stability by a method wherein suspension of specific metal ions and alkaline iron hydroxide is subjected to water-heat treatment for generating ferrite fine powder and their particles are distinguished and dried followed by heating and firing at a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:Zinc hydroxide is deposited on the particle surface of planar magnetoplumbite type ferrite fine powder containing one kind of metals to be selected from Ni and Zn generated from aqueous solution by water-heat treatment and one kind of metal ions to be carried from Ti, Sn and Zr. Then, zinc is solid-dissolved near the particle surface of the planar magnetoplumbite type ferrite fine powder containing said specific metals by heating and firing at 600-900 deg.C. As a result, the planar magnetoplumbite type ferrite fine powder having appropriate coercive force and large magnetic susceptibility while being excellent in temperature stability is formed.
