PURPOSE:To attain the test for a communication control equipment designated remotely by providing a communication control equipment test command in commands transmitted/received mutually and allowing a communication control equipment to be tested to apply processing according to the test command and to reply the result. CONSTITUTION:A device 32a sends a packet requesting a reply to a device 32b to a communication control equipment 31a, which sends a packet to the communication control equipment 31b according to the communication system on a bus 30 and the equipment 31b informs it to the equipment 32a via the equipment 31a that the packet is received correctly. If no reply comes from the equipment 32b even after a prescribed time elapses at the equipment 32a, a communication control equipment test command, e.g., a RAM content request command is informed to the equipment 31b and receives the RAM content reply command as the result to discriminate a faulty location depending on the content of the received RAM. Thus, the state confirmation or the like is tested depending on the content of RAM by communication control equipments 31a-31n designated remotely without stopping the communication control equipments 31a-31n.
