SEPARABLE SLIDE FASTENER CONNECTOR METHOD AND APPARATUS

The claim relates to assembling the pin and box sections of an open- end slide fastener on the two halves of the zipper. An assembly machine is also claimed. In the position of the zipper parts the zipper tape has T-shaped sections at distances from one another in a projection on the slide-fastener plane. The halftapes are passed through the assembler coupled together as a slide fastener with the sliders mounted on, with the T-beam or the Tshaped sections in the transport direction. In the assembler the zipper is deflected from the tape plane, an angle arm being formed. On a T-shaped section being fed in the zipper is held at the deflection station, with the T-shaped section in front of the deflection point. The pin and box sections are threaded on in the shadow of the angle arm via the T- beam section of the T-shaped sections and then clamped.
