<p>PURPOSE:To separate and recover contained V from a sludge cake in high yield, by mixing a V-containing sludge cake produced as by-product at the time of the production of titanium and a desulfurization treatment waste liquor of coke-oven dry distillation gas and by allowing the resulting mixture to react. CONSTITUTION:At the time of separating and recovering Ti from a sludge cake containing metallic components such as Ti, Fe, Cr, etc., produced as by- product in a Ti production process, a Rhodan waste liquor produced in a stage where a generated dry distillation gas is brought into contact with aqueous alkali used for removing H2S in the dry distillation gas so as to remove H2S and HCN in the gas by absorption at the time of producing coke by carbonization is mixed with the above Ti-containing sludge cake. The resulting mixture is heated to 90-120 deg.C and agitated to undergo reaction for 17->=48hr, so that Ti is isolated and extracted in the Rhodan waste liquor. Subsequently, solid- liquid separation is carried out, and a V-containing extract is reextracted with a solvent such as ortho-dodecylphosphoric acid, etc., and then, V is precipitated in the form of vanadate and recovered.</p> |
