发明名称 ADHESION FOR CRYOGENIC USE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an adhesive which enables bonding operation under cryogen ic conditions, by using a polyester resin, a low-melting pt. organic solvent, and a polyisocyanate as its principal constituents. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive prepared by using as its principal constituents 20-30wt.% polyester resin and 15-30wt.% polyisocyanate and adding, a required, a filler and a catalyst each in a suitable amount to the composition. A preferable polyester resin is that containing 1-5% OH groups. As the low- melting pt. organic solvent, xylene (melting point; about -90 deg.C), toluene (melting point; about -94 deg.C), normal hexane (melting point; about -94 deg.C), etc. are preferably used, either individually or as a mixture of two or more of them. Since this adhesive maintains its initial flexibility and flowability when applied on a surface even under cryogenic conditions, cold insulation of LNG piping in the cold can be accomplished with this adhesive.
