The subject-matter of the invention is a tank container (2), in which the fluid to be temperature-conditioned is accommodated in a container (2) which is closed on all sides and which is essentially a horizontal cylinder and is accommodated in an insulating outer housing (1). The temperature-conditioning medium is forcibly introduced through an opening in one end wall of the outer housing into a channel-like region between the container and the outer housing, it passes from there into a second region and is lead off again through a second opening in the end wall of the outer housing which also receives the first opening. The container (2) is mounted in the outer housing (1) so as to be longitudinally adjustable in order to be pushed through an appropriate, closable opening in the one end wall of the outer housing into said outer housing and to be fixed releasably relative to the outer housing in the one end position which is pushed completely into the outer housing, or in order to be able to be removed completely from the outer housing and separated from the latter when the locking means effecting the fixing have been released. <IMAGE>
