PURPOSE:To easily and effectively carry out the continuous recovery of gold from a cyanogen solution, by subjecting an organic solvent of a phosphoric ester extractant after the selective extraction separation of gold from a cyanogen solution to temp. rise and by back-extracting gold again into an aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION:Gold is subjected to extraction separation selectively and continuously from a gold-containing cyanogen solution by using a phosphoric ester extractant. As the above-mentioned phosphoric ester, tributyl phosphate, triethyl phosphate, etc., are used. Subsequently, the resulting gold-containing organic solvent is subjected to temp. rise to about 50-80 deg.C and brought into contact with an aqueous solution of NaCl, etc. By this method, gold is back-extracted from the organic solvent into the aqueous solution and recovered.
