Two metal panels are connected at their edges by plastic profiles with a low degree of thermal conductivity, with the result that a vacuum space is fully enclosed between the profiles and the metal panels, in which vacuum space there are located partially interconnected plastic supports with low thermal conductivity which intercept pressure on the vacuum. Located in the vacuum is a very thin fibrous material which extends to the greatest possible extent in the plane of the metal panels and is slightly permeable to radiation heat. The profiles are permanently sealed on their outer side by means of a thin-walled, gas-tight band with low thermal conductivity. This invention achieves an extremely good, cost-effective and permanent heat insulation, in particular for buildings. |
