The azo dyes of the formula <IMAGE> which contain from 0 to 2 water-solubilising groups, and in which K is the radical of a coupling component of the benzene or naphthalene series or of the heterocyclic series, R1 is a group of the formula -CN, -CON(R2)R3, -COR4, -COOR5 or -SO2R6, the ring A may be substituted, R2 and R3 independently of one another are hydrogen or an optionally substituted C1-C10-alkyl, C5-C7-cycloalkyl, phenyl or naphthyl radical, and R4, R5 and R6 are an optionally substituted C1-C10-alkyl, C5-C7-cycloalkyl, phenyl or naphthyl radical, give dyeings which have good fastness properties when applied to fibre materials containing nitrogen groups or hydroxyl groups.
