PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of an article to be supplied, by supplying the article in the bag from a pair of article receiving parts and raising the article receiving parts in the bag in an opened state before closing the pair outside the bag. CONSTITUTION:A bag 21 is supplied to the area below a pair of article receiving parts 12, 12 and the mouth part 21a thereof is opened. An article is supplied to a hopper 4 and enter the closed receiving parts 12, 12. A support cylinder 7 is downwardly moved and the article receiving parts 12, 12 are inserted in the mouth part 21a of the bag 21 in a closed state until an engaging rod 15 is brought into contact with the engaging plate 17 on the under side thereof. When the support cylinder 7 is further moved downwardly, the engaging rod 15 is upwardly tilted by the engaging plate 17 on the under side thereof and the receiving parts 12, 12 are opened by a link mechanism while inserted in the bag 21. The article falls in to the bag 21. When the support cylinder 7 is moved upwardly, the receiving parts 12, 12 rise in an opened state to be drawn out of the bag 21. When the support cylinder 7 is moved upwardly and the engaging rod 15 impinges against the engaging plate 16 on the upper side thereof, the receiving parts 12, 12 are closed outside the bag 21.
