PURPOSE:To attempt to improve bending strength and wear resistance, by using a sheet having a composition containing respectively specific amt. of an inorganic fiber of a specific fiber diameter, an inorganic filler, an organic fiber and an organic binder, as a base material. CONSTITUTION:A sheet having a composition containing at least 50 wt.% or more of an inorganic fiber whose average diameter is 10mum or less such as a silica-alumina fiber, 5-40 wt.% of an inorganic filler, 1-15 wt.% of an organic fiber and 1-10 wt.% of an organic binder and whose total amt. is 100 wt.%, is prepared and is used as a base material. A plastic reinforced by using this sheet can obtain improvements of both bending strength and wear resistance at the same time. Moreover, as this sheet is made relatively homogeneously, a homogeneous property can be obtained at any part of the sheet, and partial fluctuation of strength hardly occur. |
