PURPOSE:To obtain a growth regulator for cultivated plants, showing specific and high plant growth regulating action by synergistic effects, by adding nicotinic acid amide to one or more choline salts. CONSTITUTION:A plant growth regulator containing one or more choline salts (e.g. hydrochloride, phosphate, polyphosphate, sulfate, nitrate, silicate, carbonate, acetate and citrate, especially preferably chlorine chloride) and nicotinic acid amide. When young seedlings of rice and wheats are treated with the regulator, a dry matter amount is increased and complete sound seedlings are obtained. The regulator has high sound seedling growing effects especially on KOSHIHIKARI and SASANISHIKI (high-quality rice) and high yield increasing effects on soybeans. When apples, Japanese persimmons and peaches are treated with the regulator, enlargement of fruit trees are attained, dextrose equivalent is raised, especially coloring is improved and fallen granules of grape after harvesting can be reduced. In cultivated plants such as vegetables, industrial crops and flowers, the regulator shows quantitative and qualitative increase effects on each plant. |
