PURPOSE:To prevent the deharmonization of the motor for the control lever of an injection pump by detecting if the position of an accelerating pedal stepped on before the drive of a starter is at the deepest or not and fixing a motor for the control lever of the injection pump during the starter drive if the position is at the deepest. CONSTITUTION:The stepping-in quantity of an accelerating pedal 1 is detected by an acceleration sensor 2, and the revolution quantity of a stepping motor 6 is controlled by a controller 5 on the basis of the output. Then, the control lever 9 of a fuel injection pump 7 is shifted through a link rod 8, and the fuel injection quantity is varied. In this case, it is detected on the basis of the output of the acceleration sensor 2 if the position of the accelerating pedal 1 is at the deepest position or not, and if the position is at the deepest, the pulse rate of the pulse applied onto the stepping motor 6 is fixed to fix the position of the control lever 9. Therefore, the fuel injection in constant quantity is permitted independently of the movement of the accelerating pedal 1 which is stepped on sufficiently during the starting operation.
