PURPOSE:To provide the titled fiber composed of a mixed composition of PVC and a specific polymer, effective in lowering welding temperature of PVC fiber and easily weldable without using expensive apparatuses. CONSTITUTION:The objective fiber is composed of a mixed composition composed of (A) 10-90pts.wt., preferably 60-85pts.wt. of PVC (preferably having a number-average molecular weight of 50,000-150,000) and (B) 90-10pts.wt., preferably 40-15pts.wt. of a polymer produced by graft-polymerization of vinyl chloride to an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer. The graft polymer is preferably produced by grafting 1-2wt.% of vinyl chloride to a copolymer produced by copolymerizing ethylene and vinyl acetate at a weight ratio of 60:40-90:10.
