PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce the fluid friction loss of a pump and make its structure simple and light by composing the pump of a stator sealed in a casing cover and a permanent magnet piece rotor embedded in an impeller. CONSTITUTION:Pump fluid is discharged from an inlet port 42 to a discharge port 44 through an impeller 24 when the impeller 24 is rotated under operation of a direct current brushless canned motor composed of a stator 30 and a permanent magnet piece rotor 32. At this time, a part of the fluid flows in a fluid hole 22a to lubricate a bearing 20. Since the rotor 32 is embedded in a blade 12 and arranged discontinuously and radially, any fluid friction loss owing to the rotation of the impeller 24 is remarkably reduced to greatly improve the pump efficiency. In addition, the impeller 24 is simplified in its structure and reduced in its weight, while improved in its degree of freedom of design. Thus, an inexpensive and light pump is formed.
