<p>BUS DUCT COOLING SYSTEM The cooling air circuit for a 3-phase isolated bus duct incorporates a flow proportioning system to enable regulation of the temperature of the individual conductors and also of the bus duct below predetermined maximum values. The transition air flow between a pair of similarly sectioned parallel ducts and a single duct of similar section serially connected to the parallel ducts, is controlled by a proportional flow control, functioning as a variable splitter or as a variable integrator, in accordance with the relative direction of flow of the cooling air, either diverging from a single outward flow-path into dual return paths, or vice versa.</p> |
