PURPOSE:To improve the coloring property and the stability of development in the titled material by incorporating 2-ureidophenol type cyan coupler together with a specified compd. in at least one layer of a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The 2-ureidophenol type cyan coupler and the compd. shown by formula I are contained in at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layer. In the formula, Y is a substituent group, Ra and Rb are each alkyl group, etc., Rc is hydrogen atom, etc., (l) is an integer of 0-5, (m) is an integer of 1-4, Ra-Rc together with each other may form a ring, and when (l) is >=2, group Y may be the same or the different with each other, when (m) is >=2, groups -COOC(Ra)(Rb)Rc may be the same or the different with each other. However, when Rc is hydrogen atom, (1) groups Ra and Rb together with each other may form a ring contg. no alpha hydrogen atom, or a ring contg. one hydrogen atom, or (2) groups Ra and Rb do not bond with each other, and at least one of groups Ra and Rb is aryl group, or (3) groups Ra and Rb do not bond with each other, and at least one of groups Ra and Rb is a substituent group having different alpha-carbon atom. Thus, the coloring property and the stability of development of the titled material are improved. |
