PURPOSE:To obtain a high-purity alcohol from a fermented alcohol, etc., in saved energy, by feeding an aqueous solution of an alcohol from a raw material inlet of a contact device of counter current and a propane solvent from the bottom of a device and maintaining the propane solvent in a specific state. CONSTITUTION:A contact device 1 of counter current is charged with 1pt.wt. aqueous solution of a raw material alcohol from a raw material feed line 2 and with 3-6pts.wt. propane solvent from a feed line 3. The propane solvent is brought into contact with the aqueous solution of the alcohol is a supercritical state or pseudo-critical state in counter current at a recovery part 7 so that the alcohol is selectively extracted from the aqueous solution of the alcohol while raising a low-density propane solvent phase and is taken out as a light liquid from a light liquid removal line 5. At the recovery part 7, preferably the temperature is 100-130 deg.C and the pressure is 60-200atm. |
