PURPOSE:To reduce the wear of a printing member of an impact printer to prevent the deterioration of printing quality and the break of a multi-strike ink ribbon, by providing a back-coat layer made of synthetic resin and molybdenum disulfide on the surface reverse to an ink layer. CONSTITUTION:A back-coating agent is prepared by dispersing a composition of molybdenum disulfide, polyester resin, etc. with glass beads by a sand mill. The back-coating agent is applied to an ink ribbon and dried, whereby a multi- strike ink ribbon is formed. In the produced multi-strike ink ribbon, an ink layer 2 and a back-coat layer 7 are held on a synthetic resin film 1. In this manner, the provision of the back-coat layer made of synthetic resin and molybdenum disulfide on the surface reverse to the ink layer reduces the wear of a type member of an impact printer, prevents the deterioration of printing quality, and thus prolongs a printer life. |
