The bonder comprises a geared pneumatic motor actuating discs carrying a sheet of veneer. A roll also drives a traverser for reciprocation of the thermoplastics coated wire. The bonding speed is adjustable on the basis of the air flow volume, and the stitching pitch is varied by movement of the axial-travel roll . The stitching amplitude is also varieo by altering the length of the control arm, e.g. for repair work.
