PURPOSE:To increase the adhesion between a metal plate and a lithium thin film and decrease the contact resistance between them by forming a negative electrode with the metal plate electrolysis-deoxidized with lithium salt in an organic solvent and coated with the lithium thin film deposited with an electrolysis-deoxidized substance on the metal plate. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode is constituted of a metal plate 1 coated with a lithium thin film. This lithium thin film 2 is formed by electrolysis- deoxidizing lithium salt in an organic solvent and depositing this electrolysis- deoxidized substance on the metal plate 1. A positive electrode 4 and a negative electrode 3 are installed across a proper diaphragm 5, for example, and an electrolyte 7 solved with lithium salt is introduced. A potential is applied across the negative electrode 3 and the positive electrode 4 with a power source 6 for electrolysis-deoxidation. The lithium salt is preferably made of one kind of compound selected among LiBF4, LiPF6, LiClO4, LiI, LiBr, and LiNO3 or a mixture of two or more kinds of them. |
