发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF CERAMIC SUPERCONDUTIVE WIRE
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a superconductive wire with high current density by forming a sintered layer of ceramic superconductor outside the core wire through a copper oxide covering layer, thereby fabricating a long wire, and preventing drop of superconductivity in the sintering process. CONSTITUTION:A sintered layer 13 of ceramic superconductor is furnished at the periphery of a core wire 11 through a copper oxide covering layer 12 to provide a ceramic type superconductive wire. The core wire is made of metal or glass fiber. The covering layer 12 is formed by covering the core wire with Cu by means of plating of evaporation, followed by oxidation. The sintered layer 13 is formed by covering the Cu oxide core wire with YBa2Cu3 alloy in molten state, followed by sintering. They produces YBa2Cu3Ox (x<14; perovskite) by a heat treatment at the final stage. The ceramic sintered layer 13 is further covered usually with an insulative layer 15 or a stabilizing layer 14 plus insulative layer 15 laied one after another. The stabilizer is made of Ag, Au or Pt, or an alloy thereof. An insulative covering of inorganic polymer is used.
