AQUICULTURE OF JAPANESE HORSERADISH

PURPOSE:To harvest Japanese horseradish in high yield, by cultivating extracted tissue of growing point in a medium containing a plant growth regulator to grow a young plant and rooting the young plant in a medium containing NAA replaced with the plant growth regulator and having reduced dextrose equivalent. CONSTITUTION:Tissue of growing point is cut out from a rhizome of foundation stock having sterilized surface. The tissue 2 of growing point is planted on an agar medium (3) blended with a plant growth regulator to give a young plant 6. Then, the young plant is transplanted in a medium containing NAA (alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid) replaced with the plant growth regulator and having reduced dextrose equivalent and rooted.
