PURPOSE: To display a length of a corresponding cable block in a form illegible by persons by transferring a 3-dimension drawing model for a cable assembly designed by using a 3-dimension mechanism design system into a 2-dimension expression while keeping the size ratio. CONSTITUTION: Cable description information 10 is entered by a group making a request and a cable designer makes description data 18 complete thereafter. A software to maintain a recording design drawing 16, a description data entry and completed network description are called WIRELIST 12. When a specific cable description 26 from the WIRELIST 12 is started, the user executes a series of software program called a SELECTOR CLIST 24. The program 24 enters length data for a specific cable from a geometrical CATIA model 50 and adds the data to the cable description 26 to find out component number data and the management data are loaded to the CADAM model 30 and filed.
