PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity without changing it during repeated uses and to enhance durability by incorporating a specified azo compound in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer 20 contains at least one of the azo compound represented by formula I in which n is 2 or 3; R<1> is H, alkyl, or aryl; Ar is an optionally substituted aromatic hydrocarbon ring or hetero ring; A is a n-valent bonding group; B is a group represented by formulae II, III, IV, etc.; X is -OH, -NR<5>R<6>, etc., each of R<5> and R<6> is H, alkyl, etc.; Y is H, halogen, etc., and Z is an atomic group necessary to form an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or hetero ring, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to be high in sensitivity, small in variances of sensitivity and potential acceptance due to repeated uses and light fatigue, and extremely superior in durability. |
