<p>The contact arrangement (1) has a movable part (3), which is connected by means of one or more insulating coupling elements (21) to a drive device. An insulating body (28) in the form of a plate is fixed to the insulated coupling element(s) (21), which, in combination with adjacent bulkheads (30, 31), seals off the contact arrangement from adjacent subassemblies of the circuit breaker and prevents penetration of arc gases to these subassemblies. In the closed state of the contact arrangement (1) there are cavities between the insulating body (28) and the bulkheads (30, 31) to allow passage of air. When the contacts are opened the insulating body (28) approaches the bulkheads (30, 31) and the stop plates (27) of an insulating partition wall (or two insulating partition walls (26) one on each side) next to the contact arrangement (1), thereby sealing off the cavities. <IMAGE></p> |
