PURPOSE:To shorten start time by transmitting the information that can start an input/output device when the coincidence is obtained between the address of the input/output device which reported 'unit check' to the adaptor set at the information processing enter side and the address received from a channel. CONSTITUTION:An adaptor 8 set at the information processing center side stores the address of an input/output device that produced 'unit check' into an address memory part 4. This address is compared with the address which is received from a channel for start of the input/output device. When the coincidence is obtained between both addresses, a control part 2 rises a control signal operational IN and gives an answer to the channel. While a pseudo status generating part 8 transfers a pseudo status '00' to the channel in case the command received from the channel is equal to a 'sense' command. In such a way, the start time of the input/output device is shortened. |
