PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the operator to repeat judgement and simplify an operation, by counting the number of times print file data is printed, analyzing printing data to detect errors in the printing data, and performing a predetermined error indication, in a printer which prints a specified number of times. CONSTITUTION:A printer-controlling part 3 checks whether the end of printing data is reached, and when the end of the printing data is not reached, a printing data forming part 4 analyzes the printing data. Based on the result of the analysis, it is checked whether an error is present, and when an error is present, it is checked whether a phase of repeated printing is being processed. Namely, the content of a repetition counter 31 is checked, and the content of 0 is deemed to indicate the first printing, whereas the content of 1 or more is deemed to indicate the second or latter printing. In the first printing, a predetermined error indication is made on a display device 7. In the second or latter printing, the error indication of the same type is not made. Therefore, the operator need not repeat judgement, and the operation is simplified. |
