PURPOSE:To attain high speed control of an optimum laser beam output by using a standard magneto-optical disk device to form a standard data table, generating a real data table based on the table or the like to control the intensity of a recording laser beam. CONSTITUTION:The standard magneto-optical disk device is used at first to obtain the optimum laser beam output and the standard data table storing the output by the 2-dimensional address designation of the disk radius, and the operating temperature is generated and stored in a ROM 1 of the device in user actually. Then a changeover switch 16 is thrown to the position of a test signal generator 9. Then the actual optimum laser output is measured as to plural disk radii, then the output of the optimum laser beam in the actual device is obtained based on the optimum value, the disk radius, the operating temperature and the storage value in the ROM 1, the result is stored in a RAM 15 to generate the real data table. Then the switch 16 is thrown to the position of a recording signal to apply recording. Then the value of the optimum laser beam output corresponding thereto is read from the RAM 15 to control optimizingly the intensity of the recording laser beam. |
