PURPOSE:To effectively and economically treat progressive cerebral thrombosis, by providing a fluid replacement pump to the blood circulation line reaching a blood introducing line and performing control so that the flow rate of plasma of a plasma return line becomes equal to that of the replenisher of a fluid replacement line. CONSTITUTION:An anticoagulant is added to the collected blood flowing through a blood introducing line 1 and plasma is separated by a plasma separator 2 to be stored in a blood container 5. The separated plasma is returned to the vein of a patient through a plasma return line 3 and, at the same time, a replenisher is supplied to the blood container in the same amount as the plasma. next, at the point of time when a prescribed amount of blood is collected, the first clamp 9 is closed and the second clamp 12 is opened to perform operation. The blood stored in the blood container 5 is recirculated through a circuit by a blood pump 10 to separate plasma which is, in turn, returned to the vein of the patient through the plasma return line 3. The replenisher is supplied to the blood container 5 from a replenisher container 8 until the amount of plasma becomes equal to that of the collected blood. |
