PURPOSE:To make it possible to facilitate the inspection and maintenance of a transmission by fastening a sub-case for journalling the left ends of input and power take-off shafts of the transmission, to a crank case to which the tight ends of the input and power take-off shaft, and both ends of a crankshaft are journalled, and in which speed change gears are disposed. CONSTITUTION:Both ends 6a of a crankshaft 6 are journalled to a crank casing 4 to which the right end part 9a of an input shaft 9 of a speed change drive gear 15 and a part 16a of a power take-off shaft 16 of a speed change driven gear 17, near to the right end thereof, and journalled, and in which both gears 15, 17 are disposed. The left end part 9f of the input shaft 9 and a part 16b of the power take-off shaft 16, near to the left end thereof, are journalled to a sub-casing 20 which is fastened to the left side of the crank casing 4. A chain cover 23 is mounted on the sub-casing 20. Accordingly, the sub-casing 20 may be removed while the crank casing 4 is left to be mounted on a vehicle body frame, thereby it is possible to facilitate the maintenance of a speed change mechanism. |
