PURPOSE:To rapidly obtain a countermeasure for on error by providing an error analyzing means to analyze the type of the error of an inputted signal on an IC card side, and responding to external equipment with an error responding means. CONSTITUTION:An error analyzing means 200 to analyze, for example, the type of the error of a control instruction is provided on an IC card 17 side, and an error responding means 300 responds to external equipment 100. When an CPU 14 detects the respective types of errors, since a bit corresponding to an error signal is, for example, at '1', when the error occurs on the IC card 17 side, the contents of the error can be detected by a host computer 11 by checking the condition of the bit successively from the top bit of the error signal. Thus, the error contents are not necessary to be analyzed on the host computer 11 side, and the error can be promptly dealed with. |
