DOUBLE PIPE FOR PREVENTING ADHESION OF MARINE ORGANISM

PURPOSE: To obtain a duplex tube with an inner tube prevented from peeling off without using means of bonding or the like by, in the duplex tube with the inner tube for preventing marine organism from adhering to the tube body, forming a slit-like opening in the inner tube. CONSTITUTION: A duplex tube 4 is made by performing bending-processing to a 1 mm-thick Cu-Ni alloy strip so as to form a circular cross section with the longitudinal direction of the strip as the axial direction of the tube; and then covering the outer peripheral surface of an inner tube 2 provided with a slit-like opening 1 formed in the axial direction of the tube with an outer tube made of FRP and with a thickness of about 5 mm. Further, Cu-Ni alloy chips 5 are welded to a plurality of places in the slit-like opening 1 along the axial direction of the tube, thus obtaining a structure wherein the inner tube 2 can self-maintain the completely tubular shape.
