PURPOSE:To maintain an oil temperature in optimum conditions by installing a ceramic cylinder liner, forming a clearance serving as an oil passage, on the inner circumferential surface of a cylinder body, and feeding this passage with oil in a forcible manner. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder liner 3 composed of a ceramic material is set up on the inner circumferential surface of a cylinder body 1 so as to form a clearance serving as an oil passage 2 there. The cylinder body 1 and the cylinder liner 3 both are fixed in a sealed state at an upper end 15, and an oil outflow clearance 11 is formed at the lower end 16. Oil is fed to the oil passage 2 by actuation of an oil pump 5 through a passage 13. A controller 6 controls the oil pump 5 in response to a detected signal of an oil temperature sensor 4. With this constitution, a temperature of lubricating oil lubricating an interval between a piston ring and the cylinder liner is maintainable in optimum conditions. |
