PURPOSE:To make a crankcase compact and an internal combustion engine light and small by providing a toothed wheel for accelerating a balancer having a balance weight on the face on the other side of a friction clutch of a reduction large gear. CONSTITUTION:A reduction large gear 13 which is always engaged with a reduction small gear 22 integrally rotated with a crankshaft 6 is provided on a main shaft 24 which is in parallel with the crankshaft 6. A friction clutch 30 for connecting/disconnecting the power of the crankshaft 6 to the main shaft 24 is provided on one end of the main shaft 24. A toothed wheel 37 for accelerating a balancer 17 having a balance weight 19 is provided on the face on the other side of the friction clutch 30 of the reduction large gear 23. Thereby, a crankcase can be made compact enabling the whole internal combustion engine to be light and small. |
