PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a filming phenomenon and the damage of a latent image carrier, etc., by using two component developer consisting of toner having adhesive resin grains and organic fine grains whose diameter is smaller than that of said resin grain and carrier in which the surface of magnetic material grain is covered with resin. CONSTITUTION:A thin developer layer whose thickness is smaller than a gap between the latent image carrier 10 and a developing sleeve 61 is formed on the surface of the developing sleeve 61 and an electrostatic latent image on the latent image carrier 10 is developed in a development area 71. The two component system developer is used as developer, in which the toner has the adhesive resin grains and the organic fine grains whose diameter is smaller than that of the adhesive resin grain, and the carrier obtained by covering the surface of the magnetic material grain with the resin is used. The substance constituting the organic fine grain is a vinyl-based polymer and the primary grain of the organic fine grain is the global one whose mean diameter is 0.01-5mum. And it is desirable that the ratio of the organic fine grain is 0.01-3wt.% of the entire toner. |
