Printed material is produced for documentary signs used in sign-language for the hard-of-hearing. Hand movements, shapes and positions are acquired by means of photographs which are then projected onto the rear of a transparent screen. On the screen is a sheet of drawing paper onto which a schematic diagram of the hand movements etc. is traced. The resulting diagrams are then used as originals for producing a sign-language book. Various means of projecting the photograph onto the screen are described. The screen may be glass or plastic. The projector can be moved towards and away from the screen. ADVANTAGE - Standardisation.
