PURPOSE:To obtain the subject flame sprayed-deposit member having superior erosion resistance to melted iron and molten pig iron in a high-temp. region and excellent in wear resistance and thermal shock resistance by fitting a layer of sprayed deposit having a composition which consists of respectively prescribed amounts of Al2O3 and Cr2O3 and the balance ZrO2 and in which the total content of the above Al2O3 and Cr2O3 is specified to the surface of a base material. CONSTITUTION:An erosion-resisting flame sprayed-deposit member which is used in fitting to the surface of a base material composed of various materials, such as iron and steel and refractories, and which has a composition consisting of, by weight, 8-50% Al2O3, 8-50% Cr2O3, and the balance essentially ZrO2 and satisfying (Al2O3+Cr2O3)=75% is provided. Moreover, if necessary, Y2O3 is further added to the above composition by 1-6% based on the total content. The above flame sprayed-deposit member provides erosion resistance and wear resistance to the base-material surface and prolongs the service life of the equipment member and, as the result, work stabilization and cost reduction are made possible. |
